Club Friend Help Friend

Two years ago some of my friends that graduated from the Insitute of Technology of Cambodia in 2003 (known as Ingénier 2003) initiate a program to dig wells (for get drinking water) to some communes in some remote areas that can not access to clean water. They selected one commune in Udong district as a pilot project. Interestingly, after their first project, known as TechnoCharity, in that commune, another charity group creat a club called "Club Friend Help Friend" to teach English to the children there.

Although now i don't see any new "digging well project" but i see that my friends still contribute to that community by providing books (their English books that they have used in the past and no longer need), study materials, old clothes, and other logistics.

I don't know why my friends stop talking about the "digging well project" after they initiated one well by raising money from our own group and getting other financial support from oversea such as France. However, I hope that my friends' group activities and charity can help initiate other kinds of charities to help our next generation human resource.

We're conducting this project as volunteers and not aiming to gain (political) fame or other purposes. And we are doing under the slogan "Together we can make a change".

I watch Japanese TV programs and I saw several Japanese TV MC try to raise funds to help our children. Why don't we (for those who are capable of doing sth) try to help ourselves (next generation)?

I hope that this message can spread among the people that visit our blog and can spread this idea further.
